View Royal boasts many recreational opportunities - both indoors and out. Of its approximately 2,500 hectares of land area, the Town has over 700 hectares of parkland and encompasses McKenzie, Pike, Prior and Thetis Lakes and portions of Esquimalt Harbour and Portage Inlet. The Capital Regional District's well-utilized Galloping Goose Trail traverses the Town. As well, View Royal is a member of the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society that operates West Shore Parks & Recreation. At that facility, you will find complete recreational opportunities such as a swimming pool, weight room, soccer fields, a nine hole par three golf course and organized classes and programs.
