New Fire Hall Project
Founded in 1944, the View Royal Fire Rescue has provided emergency services in View Royal for almost 70 years. The current Fire Station, located at 280 Island Highway, was constructed in 1957. After review, reports concluded that the current structure lacks several amenities to make it functional as an emergency services building. Aside from the most pronounced deficiency - lack of seismic stability - the building was never designed to house career fire fighters, or serve as an administrative base and emergency operations centre.
Moving forward, the new Fire and Rescue Building will be a success with your help. Open consultation with the community willl give an opportunity to provide feedback and input on this exciting new project in View Royal.
