IHIP Traffic Update

PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGES:

Please be advised that Don Mann Excavating Ltd. is continuing with construction activities on the Town of View Royal's Island Highway Improvement Project (IHIP), along Island Highway between Beaumont Avenue and the E&N Rail Trestle.

THERE IS NO CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULED FOR LABOUR DAY WEEKEND:

  • Friday, September 3rd to Monday, September 6th, inclusive

EXPECT ALTERNATING SINGLE-LANE TRAFFIC:

· 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7th to Friday, September 10th

o Rock blasting activities continue this week. Flag persons are stopping traffic for up to a total of 10 minutes. However, downstream traffic delays may vary. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

A 30 km/hr construction zone speed limit is in effect and will be enforced. Please use caution when driving through the site, and traffic personnel are to be obeyed (and respected) at all times. Offenders will be reported to RCMP.
