2016 Property Taxes - Due July 4

Property taxes are due Monday, July 4, 2016. As of 12:01am, July 5, 2016, any unpaid 2016 property taxes or unclaimed 2016 Home Owner Grants (HOG) will have a 10% penalty added to the outstanding balance.

Payment Options

  • In Person: at Town Hall, 45 View Royal Ave, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Payment Drop Box: located by the front doors of Town Hall. Post dated cheques and completed HOG forms can be dropped off 24 hours a day. Please indicate if you wish to receive a receipt.
  • By Mail: 45 View Royal Ave, Victoria BC, V9B 1A6. Must be received at Town Hall by July 4, 2016.
  • Internet or Telephone Banking: the vendor name is View Royal (Town of) Tax. Your account number will be the last eight digits of your property tax roll number (do not include the 401 or 402 or the decimal).

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cheques, cash and debit cards for payment. If paying by debit card, please be advised you may be required to increase your daily security limit through your bank. Post dated cheques for July 4, 2016 are accepted. The Town of View Royal does not accept credit card payments, wire transfers or third party cheques.

Home Owner Grant (HOG)

Don’t forget to claim your HOG. Unclaimed HOG’s will receive a 10% penalty as at 12:01 am on July 5, 2016. The HOG form is the detachable bottom portion of your tax notice. Completed forms can be claimed online, dropped off at Town Hall in person or by using the after hours drop box located by the front doors or mailed in.
