Volunteers Wanted - Burnside Watkiss Park Invasive Removal - June 11

Harmful invasive plants are threatening rare habitats in Burnside Watkiss Park. We need your help to pull and cut the weeds to protect this important community park.  No experience necessary. We’ll provide the training, refreshments and tools (although you’re welcome to bring your own loppers and hand pruners if you wish).  It’s a great way to socialize with your neighbours while lending a helping hand for healthy habitats.

Date: Sunday, June 11th, 2017

Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: Burnside Watkiss Park (Burnside Corner), 2201 Watkiss Way

Meet at the Burnside Road entrance to the park. Please dress for the weather in work clothes and sturdy footwear.
