New Drop Off Location for Residential Yard & Garden Waste - February 1

As of February 1, 2018 the community yard and garden drop-off site located at TRIO Landscape Supplies on Hallowell Road in View Royal has closed. The former yard and garden drop-off located at 605 Canteen Road, next to the Esquimalt Public Works Yard, has been re-opened for View Royal and Esquimalt residents.  Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm, telephone 250-883-8683.

As before, residents can also use Ellice Recycle, located at 524 David Street off Bridge Street in Victoria. For hours of operation, or for more information, please contact Ellice Recycle by phone at 250-386-4342 or visit the website at www.ellicerecycle.com.

There will continue to be no charge at the gate to drop off yard and garden waste for residents of View Royal and Esquimalt. Proof of residency is required by showing the facility operator valid vehicle registration. Residential decals for vehicle windshields are available at both facilities for those residents who use either facility regularly.

If you are a resident, and someone is assisting you by hauling your compost, you must accompany their vehicle to the compost facility.  Non-resident property owners hauling material from a residential or commercial property, even if the property is in View Royal or Esquimalt, will be charged a fee.
