New Bike Park Now Open

The new bike park is now open in View Royal Park and is already being enjoyed by bike riders of all ages and skill levels! The paved track provides a continuous circuit of rollers, berms and jumps that loops back on itself allowing a continuous ride with little to no peddling. 

Although open, the bike park is still in the final stage of completion with outstanding tasks such as bench installation, signage, and paving left to complete. As such, the park will be closed periodically as needed to finish the remaining works.

In order to keep the park open during this final stage, park users are asked to please adhere to the following:

  • Enter the bike park by using the pathway next to the playground;
  • Do not move or short cut over the temporary fences;
  • Obey all posted signage and closure notices;
  • Respect workers and follow their directions;
  • Have fun and enjoy the park!

Also, if you are planning to head to the park, it is a good idea to walk/bike/carpool to the track because, due to its popularity, vehicle parking is limited. A Grand Opening Celebration will be scheduled following completion of the park this fall.
