Soil Deposit & Removal Permits
The Soil Deposit and Removal Bylaw regulates the deposit and
the removal of soils (which includes rock, sand, gravel and other substances of
which land is composed) within the Town of View Royal. It regulates the
issuance of permits for deposit and removal, requires the identification of
sources and amounts of soil, the movement of soil between parcels, the
conditions associated with issuance of permits, quantity reporting, security
deposits and fees, reparation measures for damage to public and private
property, safety measures and other things associated with soil deposit and
removal activities within the Town. It also identifies exempt activities,
activities which can be approved by staff, and activities which must be
approved by the Town of View Royal Council.
