Development Services
The Development Services Department comprises four areas:
Building and Inspections review applications for building permits to ensure compliance with View Royal's land and building regulations, as well as to the BC Building code, prior to issuing a building permit.
Business Licencing issues business licences and ensures compliance with View Royal's Business Licence and Registration bylaw for businesses within View Royal.
Planning and Development reviews and makes recommendations to Council on development applications, bylaw amendments, development permits, and development variances. Planning and Development is also responsible for issues relating to the Environment, Heritage, urban design, and local area planning.
Subdivision Approvals are also dealt with through Development Services as the Director of Development Services is the Approving Officer for the Town.
