Proposed CREST Mono-pole at View Royal Public Safety Building

Capital Region Emergency Services Telecommunications (CREST) provides emergency radio communications for 50 emergency response agencies in B.C.’s Capital Region. This includes fire departments, police departments and ambulance services. Over 7.5 million calls per year go through the system, or one call every four seconds.

CREST is currently upgrading its fourteen year-old emergency communications technology. As part of this upgrade, CREST is proposing to install a communications mono-pole at the View Royal Public Safety Building to improve emergency communications coverage in View Royal.

CREST will be holding a Community Information meeting for the public to learn how these changes will improve regional safety.

Date: Wednesday, May 2
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00 pm
Location: View Royal Public Safety Building, 333 Island Highway
