Craigflower Manor - Statement of Significance Renewal

The BC Heritage Branch is preparing new Statements of Significance (SoS) for several provincially-owned and designated historic places, including one located in View Royal - the Craigflower Manor.

The existing SoS for the property was prepared in 2004, and best practice recommends that these management tools for historic places be reviewed and revised as required. A new SoS is being written for the Craigflower Manor that will explain why this historic place is valued and provide a guide for decisions.

As local communities possess unique knowledge and insights regarding their historic places, the public is invited to contribute their perspectives regarding the heritage values for the Craigflower Manor. A "Listening Post" session regarding the SoS renewal for the Craigflower Manor will provide information on the process and invite public feedback. All are welcome to attend.

  • Date: Monday, February 25th, 2019
  • Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Location: Craigflower Schoolhouse* (2755 Admirals Road - *not at the Manor itself)

In addition, you are also invited to participate in the online survey to express your opinions about the heritage values of the Craigflower Manor.
