View Royal Recognizes Passing of Queen Elizabeth II

In honour of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II:

  • flags at Town Hall are at half-mast and will remain lowered until after sunset on the day of the memorial service;
  • the Craigflower Bridge joins landmarks across Canada by illuminating royal blue during the 10-day period of mourning;
  • Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 19, 2022 to observe a National Day of Mourning. 

We join together during this time to honour Her Majesty's 70 years of public service as Queen of Canada and Head of the Commonwealth, and to pay tribute to the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind.
