Share your ideas for a new universally accessible playground in Chancellor Park

View Royal, BC – A new universally accessible playground is being planned for Chancellor Park, a neighbourhood park located at the end of Chancellor Avenue and Quincy Street. The Town of View Royal wants to hear what playground features residents would like to see.

Universally accessible playgrounds provide improved access to play for children and families of all abilities. Located in the growing Hospital neighbourhood, the property is between Highway 1 and the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. In addition to serving the local neighbourhood, the park holds potential as a destination for people who walk and bike on the Galloping Goose Trail and visitors and workers to Victoria General Hospital.

The park currently features a half court with basketball hoop/hockey net, picnic tables, playground, and open lawn area. Construction is planned for 2024.
