Town of View Royal Launches Next Phase of Official Community Plan Engagement: Western Gateway Community Corridor

The Town of View Royal is inviting residents, businesses, and community members to participate in the next phase of engagement for View Royal 2050: Our Future View, the update to the Town’s Official Community Plan (OCP).

The OCP is the community’s long-term blueprint for the future, guiding decisions about land use, housing, transportation, parks, the environment, and the economy. This phase of engagement focuses on the Western Gateway Community Corridor, the area along Island Highway between the Colwood border and the Atkins Interchange.

The Western Gateway is an important multi-modal corridor that connects to the Blink RapidBus line, the Galloping Goose Trail, and nearby neighbourhoods. The Town is exploring future land use options for this area, including opportunities for new housing, businesses, services, and employment spaces that support a complete, connected, and sustainable community. Community input will help shape how this corridor evolves to serve residents and the wider region in the years to come.

Community members can share their feedback through several opportunities:
