Residential Garbage & Household Food Waste Collection

This summer, the Town's residential garbage and household food waste contract expired. A new contract has recently been re-negotiated with Waste Management.
The collection schedule in the Town's current Residential Garbage & Household Food Waste Collection Brochure ended this past June. As such, staff are currently working on an updated brochure and schedule, which will be mailed to all residents in late October/early November.
As Waste Management's stock of garbage and
organics containers has been depleted, the Town has approved a change in
the container supplier in order to get a superior and longer lasting product.
You may notice that new residents, or those receiving replacements due to damage
or defect, will have the new style of container delivered. Please note that the capacity remains the
same for both containers.
