Deadline Approaching: Property Taxes Due July 2

A friendly reminder that 2026 property taxes are due by 11:59pm on Thursday, July 2. A 10% penalty will be applied to any unpaid taxes or unclaimed Home Owner Grants as of 12:01am on July 3.

If you have submitted a Property Tax Deferment application to the Province and have not yet received confirmation of approval, please contact the Province directly to check the status of your application. If you are deemed ineligible by the Province you may incur a 10% penalty.

How to claim your home owner grant

Apply for your home owner grant with the Province online or by phone at 1-888-355-2700. In order to avoid penalties and interest, apply before the tax due date.
