Recreation Facilities

West Shore Parks & Recreation is a 44 hectare site located at 1767 Island Highway that offers a wide variety of fitness, recreation, health and wellness programs as well as arts and crafts opportunities. The site is home to the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, 100.3 The Q Centre Arena and the Juan de Fuca Branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library.

West Shore Parks & Recreation is governed by the West Shore Parks & Recreation Society Board of Directors with representatives from the City of Colwood, City of Langford, District of Metchosin, District of Highlands, the Town of View Royal and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area. Each municipality contributes through annual tax requisitions towards the operation of the parks and recreation facilities.
