When are Council and Committee of the Whole meetings held?
Council meetings are held at 6:00pm on the first and third Tuesdays of each month except during the month of August or unless otherwise specified. Meetings are held in Council Chambers at the Town Hall (45 View Royal Avenue).
Committee of the Whole meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall (45 View Royal Avenue).
Special Council meetings and public hearings are scheduled as necessary.
Notice of all meetings is posted on the public notice board outside the Town Hall and on the Town's website.

How can I speak to Council or have an item placed on an agenda?
There are many opportunities to enable the public to address Town Council regarding items of municipal concern. Opportunities include:
- Submit Correspondence to Council;
- Present to Council (Petitions & Delegations);
- Public Participation Period at a Council or Committee of the Whole Meeting;
- Question Period at a Council or Committee of the Whole Meeting.

Who are View Royal's current Mayor and Council Members?
The current Mayor of View Royal is Mayor Sid Tobias. There are six Councillor positions on Council; however, one seat is currently vacant following the resignation of Councillor Damian Kowalewich on March 31, 2026. The current Councillors are: Don Brown, Gery Lemon, Alison Mackenzie, Ron Mattson, and John Rogers.

How often are local government elections held?
Local government elections are held every four years. The next election will take place on October 17, 2026.
