Mayor & Council
The responsibility for local government is vested in the Town Council. The function of Council is to establish corporate policy and to set direction for the community. Council may call upon its Advisory Committees and Sub-Committees for input into the decision-making process. Implementation of Council Policy is delegated to the Chief Administrative Officer, who is responsible for the actions of all staff. A general election for all positions on Council is held every four years.
