Halloween Spooktacular - Contest Page

The Town of View Royal invites you to take part in the 3rd Annual Halloween Spooktacular decorating contest! Starting Friday, October 10, 2025, nominations will be accepted for the most frightfully festive homes and businesses in town. Think spider webs, skeletons, ghosts, and ghouls, anything that brings the Halloween spirit to life.

This year’s contest will include two categories:

  • People's Choice: Community members will cast their votes for their favourite haunted displays.
  • Council’s Choice: Members of Town Council will select their top spooky showcase.

Each winner will receive a $50 gift card and year-long bragging rights as one of View Royal’s most spooktacular decorators.

How to Participate

Fantastic Halloween scene set up on their lawn with creepy and silly skeletons.

The residents here put up a great Halloween display every year, including a giant inflatable ghost and some spooky lighting effects!

The owners have HANDCRAFTED all of the decorations to create a uniquely spooky and scary scene. It’s unbelievable the talent that went into these creations. 10/10 and a must see!

I like how the decorations look like they were hand painted and home-made. Very unique.
